Job summary

Evalueserve is seeking high-potential finance professionals passionate about equity research, financial analysis, and investment decision-making. The role involves modeling, valuation, and investment writing for global asset managers, hedge funds, and financial institutions.

You will work on company and industry analysis, leverage AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, and apply sound financial judgment to generate actionable insights in a fast-paced global environment.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of relevant experience with a graduate/master’s degree.
• CA / MBA (Finance); CFA (added advantage).
• Strong accounting and financial skills.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Excellent understanding of credit research concepts.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Ability to implement new working styles and contribute to the company’s goals.
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of financial databases (Bloomberg/Reuters).

Responsibilities

• Perform credit analysis using metrics like liquidity, coverage and solvency.
• Build and maintain Excel-based financial models with forecasts and benchmarking.
• Develop detailed models including industry research, capital structure, peers, and recovery analysis.
• Incorporate acquisition/merger projections and long-term plans into portfolio models.
• Review credit agreements and bond indentures for covenants and testing.
• Publish quarterly and annual portfolio write-ups with investment recommendations.
• Explain model assumptions and investment rationale to clients and onshore teams.
• Apply valuation approaches (DCF, DDM, multiples) and conduct company valuations.
• Summarize earnings calls and extract relevant insights for investment conclusions.
• Write credit reviews including ratios, covenant analysis, and capital structure.
• Assess macro and qualitative factors impacting creditworthiness.
• Prepare financial models using statements, debt schedules and forecasts.
• Extract debt-related data (price, maturity, yield, CDS) from databases.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for credit analysis using credit metrics (liquidity, coverage, solvency etc.)
• Creating and maintaining excel based financial models with forecasts and benchmarking companies on financial and operating metrics
• Responsible for building detailed financial models that include industry research, capital structure analysis, peers’ comparison, and recovery analysis
• Incorporate acquisition/merger announcements (merger models) or long-term business plan projections in the existing model of the portfolio companies
• Reviewing credit agreements and bond indentures for the covenant package and incorporating them in models for covenant testing
• Publishing quarterly and annual write-ups on portfolio companies that include investment recommendations based on past trends and financial model projections
• Explaining the rationale to clients/onshore team behind industry drivers, company KPIs, business strategy, model assumptions, and investment recommendations
• Extensive company valuation involves approaches such as DCF, DDM, Trading and transaction multiples, etc.
• Listening to and summarizing earnings conference calls on a quarterly basis
• Responsible for writing credit reviews, including - Credit Ratios Analysis, Covenant Analysis, Capital Structure Analysis.
• Credit Comparable to Impact of Macro factors (Economy, Industry) and qualitative factors including Business/Asset Quality, Management etc. on the creditworthiness of a company
• Identifying credit strengths and weaknesses
• Preparation of financial models using financial statements, debt schedule, and financial forecast
• Extraction of debt related information, e.g. price, maturity, Yield, Z-spread, CDS etc. from database.

Required Qualifications
