Job summary

Ollion seeks a Principal Consultant & AI/ML Lead to head our Generative AI initiatives and serve as the core SME for our enterprise service and consulting practice.

In this client-facing role you will lead architectural design, advisory, and execution of high-impact AI agent ecosystems, translating complex business requirements into rigorous technical blueprints and delivering scalable, production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• 6–12 years in professional services or IT consulting; lead technical delivery teams and manage senior client stakeholders.
• Production Agent Systems Expertise: hands-on experience deploying production-grade, multi-agent frameworks and autonomous workflows.
• Google Cloud Ecosystem Mastery: Vertex AI suite and enterprise GCP security architectures.
• Software Engineering: backend proficiency in Go with distributed systems.
• Regulated AI Safety: experience in regulated industries with data compliance and auditing.

Responsibilities

• Strategic AI Leadership & SME Advisory: act as SME on Generative AI for enterprise clients.
• Core Agent Reference Architecture & Framework Design: own the technical vision for the core Go harness pattern using Vertex AI ADK.

Job Description

We are seeking a Principal Consultant & AI/ML Lead to head our Generative AI initiatives and serve as the core Subject Matter Expert (SME) for our enterprise service and consulting practice. In this strategic, client-facing role, you will lead the architectural design, advisory, and execution of high-impact AI agent ecosystems for our enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic AI Leadership & SME Advisory

Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Generative AI, LLM reasoning patterns, and autonomous agent frameworks forProfessional servicesand enterprise clients.

Translate complex business requirements from client stakeholders into rigorous technical blueprints, leading pre-sales technical discoveries and high-level architectural assessments.

Establish delivery playbooks and reusable patterns to standardize how our consulting firm deploys agentic workflows across different client industries.

2. Core Agent Reference Architecture & Framework Design

Own the technical vision for the core Go harness pattern, leveraging the Vertex AI Agent Development Kit (ADK) to build a robust, production-ready framework for agents.

3. Per-Agent Specification & Delivery Oversight

Lead the detailed design specifications foragents, establishing structural tool definitions (Function Calling), systemic prompt engineering, and input-context data models.

Define clear graduated-autonomy criteria, ensuring a balance between autonomous agent execution and human-in-the-loop (HITL) exception handling.

Establish robust distributed systems patterns, ensuring strict idempotency strategies and canonical event envelopes across bounded contexts.

4. Evaluation, Safety, & Governance

Design and implement a continuous shadow-mode evaluation harness to validate agent performance against live production data without triggering real-world side effects.

Set precision/recall thresholds and safety-critical misclassification test suites required for production graduation.

Partner with the client’s Agent Governance Board to advise on SOA tier classifications, model-version-pinning strategies, and continuous model/drift monitoring.

Oversee or directly build the initial shadow-mode Proof of Concept (PoC) for the first designated agent to accelerate project kickoff.

Qualifications

Consulting & Client Leadership: Minimum 6 years to 12 years of proven experience working in a professional services or IT consulting firm, with a track record of leading technical delivery teams and managing senior client stakeholders (CTOs, VPs of Architecture).

Production Agent Systems Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience deploying production-grade, multi-agent frameworks, LLM-backed reasoning loops (Gemini), and autonomous workflows.

Google Cloud Ecosystem Mastery: Expert-level familiarity with the Vertex AI suite (Agent Engine, Agent Development Kit, Tuning, Vector Search) and hardened enterprise GCP security architectures (VPC Service Controls, IAM, Pub/Sub).

Software Engineering: Advanced backend proficiency in Go (Golang) with a strong background in highly concurrent, distributed, and event-driven systems.

Regulated AI Safety: Clear appreciation for operating within highly regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance, public sector) where data compliance, deterministic auditing, and strict security perimeters are non-negotiable.
