Job summary

Jobgether SRL in India is seeking a Lead Accountant to own critical accounting activities within a fast-growing, international technology environment. You will play a key role in month-end and quarter-end close, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

The role covers intercompany accounting, consolidations, accruals, and allocations across multiple entities. You will collaborate with Finance, FP&A, Treasury, Tax and Legal to resolve issues, strengthen controls, and explore automation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification such as CA or CPA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial close processes, intercompany accounting and consolidations.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and quarter-end close processes with journals, reconciliations and allocations.
• Manage intercompany accounting activities across international entities.
• Review reconciliations and accounting documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Support treasury activities and cash/funding-related accounting requirements.
• Prepare audit-ready documentation and respond to audit requests.
• Identify process improvements and automation to reduce manual effort.

Our partner is looking for a Lead Accountant based in India.This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of critical accounting activities within a fast-growing, international technology environment. You will play a key part in month-end and quarter-end close, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The position covers complex areas including intercompany accounting, reconciliations, consolidations, accruals, and allocations. You will collaborate closely with Finance, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal, and other teams to resolve accounting matters. The role also provides scope to improve processes, strengthen controls, and introduce automation that reduces manual effort. You will independently manage diverse accounting responsibilities while contributing to audit readiness and statutory compliance. This is a strong opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who combines technical expertise with sound judgment and a continuous-improvement mindset.

Accountabilities

• Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, consolidations, eliminations, accruals, prepaids, inventory, allocations, and internal software capitalization.
• Manage intercompany accounting activities, including transactions, subsidiary funding requests, and related compliance requirements across international entities.
• Review account reconciliations and accounting documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Support treasury activities and collaborate on cash and funding-related accounting requirements.
• Prepare and maintain audit-ready documentation and respond to internal and external audit requests.
• Support financial reporting and statutory compliance activities across multiple entities.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen controls, and automate repetitive or manual activities.
• Partner with Finance, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve accounting issues.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and provide accounting insights to support business and finance decisions.
• Independently manage accounting projects and complex issues while maintaining high standards of accuracy and timeliness.

Requirements

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a fast-growing technology, SaaS, or multinational organization.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification such as CA, CPA, or an equivalent certification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial close processes, intercompany accounting, consolidations, and statutory compliance.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex reconciliations, audit requests, and accounting documentation across multiple entities.
• Strong understanding of international or multi-entity accounting environments.
• Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret large volumes of financial data.
• Experience with global ERP platforms such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar systems is valuable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with sound judgment when addressing complex accounting matters.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and build consensus across teams.
• A continuous-improvement mindset and demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, international environment and accommodate required collaboration with global teams and time zones.
