A leading automotive technology company is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer for PCB Layout Engineering in Bengaluru, India. The role involves designing circuit board assemblies and leading layout reviews, requiring a strong background in high-speed digital PCB routing and experience with appropriate CAD tools. Ideal candidates will have experience in the automotive sector, preferably in a TIER1 environment, and must exhibit leadership skills and a willingness to drive changes in the department.

Qualifications

• Experience in the industrial or automotive area, preferably TIER1.
• Detailed understanding of multilayer PCB construction.
• Experience with BGA pitch of less than or equal to 0.5mm.

Responsabilités

PCB LAYOUT ENGINEER [SENIOR STAFF ENGINEER] PDT

Stellantis's Product Development & Technology Organization mission is to build the most captivating experiences in the latest frontier of Automotive Technology.

The main job responsibilities will be:

• To work with electrical engineers to design circuit boards assemblies including MCU, SOC, high voltage, high power, HDI, and high-speed, etc.
• To design printed circuit boards meeting high volume production grade
• To lead layout reviews with internal and external teams
• To monitor layout progress and change management
• To work with mechanical engineers on mechanical-electrical packaging
• To support quick-turn board builds with PCB contract manufacturers
• To release technical documents (BOM, design procedures, design for manufacture, etc.)
• To release the layout drawings to the various teams and coordinates their layout activities by ensuring compliance with the layout rules

Preferred Qualifications

• Experienced in industrial or automotive (preferred) area (TIER1)
• Detailed understanding of high-speed digital PCB routing constraints, multilayer PCB construction
• Experience with BGA pitch of equal or less than 0.5mm
• Experience managing 3rd party layout services
• Ability to participate in schematic and design reviews
• Justified experience with leading, animating and following up layout design reviews
• Experienced at least with 2 CAD tools hereafter for schematic and layout: Cadence, Mentor, Altium, Zuken. Altium is preferred
