Job summary

Interfaceauto is seeking an experienced PCB design engineer in India to lead PCB layout and Gerber creation using Altium or Orcad. You will work closely with the mechanical team to verify assemblies and communicate with PCB suppliers to finalize specifications.

The role requires 2–7 years in automotive hardware design, with knowledge of IPC standards, EMI/EMC, and thermal considerations. You will also create footprints and support prototypes and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronics, telecommunications, or related engineering field.
• 2–7 years of experience in automotive hardware design and development.

Responsibilities

• Design PCB Layout and Gerber creation with Altium/OrCAD.
• Collaborate with mechanical team for assembly verification.
• Interface with PCB suppliers and finalize PCB specifications.
• Create PCB footprints per IPC standards.
• Support prototype builds, debugging and product launches.

• Design PCB Layout, Gerber Creation with Altium Designer Tool.
• Work closely with mechanical team for assembly verification.
• Communicate with PCB Supplier and finalize PCB specification.
• Creating PCB footprint as per IPC standard.
• Support prototype builds, debugging, and product launches.
• Generate and maintain technical documentation.

Skillset Required

• Knowledge of schematics design tools like Altium or ORCAD.
• Strong hands-on experience of Altium Designer tool
• Experience of Automotive product development process is preferred.
• Knowledge of electronics & mechanical BOM components.
• High Speed Board / Impedance Controlled Design experience is a plus.
• Awareness of EMI/EMC and Thermal aspects for PCB designing.
• Awareness regarding the state of art design trend, PCB fabrication process.
• PCB materials specifications, layer stack-up details, and assembly process.
• Knowledge regarding the IPC Standard related PCB design.
• Knowledge of SI/PI Simulation on PCB design.
