Job summary

AMD Bengaluru is seeking an experienced layout engineer for SRAM/ROM design. You will contribute to delivering macros that meet tight frequency, power, and design constraints in a fast-paced environment on cutting-edge technology.

Candidate should have strong analytical and communication skills, learn quickly, and work well in a global team. 5+ years in memory design with Calibre and Virtuoso proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional SRAM/ROM design experience.
• Physical verification with DRC/LVS and checks.
• Layout floorplanning and routing execution.
• Crosstalk and electro-migration fixes.
• IR fixes and mitigation strategies.
• Scripting to automate layout flow.
• Strong communication and multi‑project collaboration.
• Experience in FinFET/GAA and 5/3/2nm nodes.
• Solid CMOS basics and digital circuit understanding.
• Excellent analytical and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Deliver SRAM/ROM layout meeting frequency and power targets.
• Perform DRC/LVS and other physical verification checks.
• Develop layout floorplans and routing strategies.
• Identify and fix crosstalk and electromigration issues.
• Address IR drop and related fixes.
• Collaborate with senior team and multi‑site teams.

Role

The position will involve working with a very experienced layout team of CPU core macros and is responsible for delivering the macro to meet challenging goals for frequency, power and other design requirements for AMD next generation processors in a fast‑paced environment on cutting‑edge technology.

Key Responsibilities

• 5+ years of professional experience in SRAM/ROM design, preferably with high performance memory circuit designs.
• DRC, LVS and other physical verification checks.
• Layout floorplan and routing.
• Crosstalk fixes.
• Electro‑migration fixes.
• IR fixes.
• Handling different tools: Calibre and Virtuoso.

Preferred Experience

• Strong experience with tools for schematics and layout.
• Versatility with scripts and other scripting languages to automate layout flow.
• Strong communication skills, ability to multi‑task across projects, and work with geographically spread‑out teams.
• Experience in FinFET/GAA and dual‑patterning nodes such as 5/3/2nm.
• Good understanding of CMOS basics and digital circuits.
• Strong analytical/problem‑solving skills and pronounced attention to detail.

Academic Credentials

• Bachelor's in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
