Job summary

AMD in Hyderabad, India seeks an experienced SRAM circuit design engineer to drive design and verification of SRAM/CMOS circuits. You’ll collaborate with architects, hardware and firmware teams across sites to ensure high-reliability blocks, model timing/power, and deliver robust documentation.

Qualifications include a strong background in SRAM circuit design, memory compilers, and proficiency with SPICE/Cadence/EDA tools, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills to mentor juniors

Qualifications

  • Experience SRAM circuit designs and/or Memory Compiler/CMOS circuit design.
  • Experienced SRAM circuit design engineer with in-depth knowledge of circuit design basics.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with architects, hardware engineers, and firmware engineers to understand the new features.
  • Design and develop cutting-edge SRAM circuits, Memory Compilers, including circuit design, timing and power characterization.
  • Build design and test plan documentation, accounting for interactions with features, hardware, firmware, verification and software use cases.
  • Perform simulation, modeling, and analysis to ensure compliance with performance and reliability specifications.
  • Generate comprehensive technical documentation, including design reports, validation results, and test summaries.
  • Support validation and debugging of SRAM/analog and mixed-signal circuits during development and post-silicon phases.
  • Drive continuous improvement of design methodologies, tools, and workflows.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and share best practices from industry experience.
  • Convert Design Ideas to patents and publications.
  • Review and brainstorm issues with team members and cross-functional teams.

THE ROLE:

The focus of this role is to plan, build, and execute the verification of new and existing features for AMD’s graphics processor IP, resulting in no bugs in the final design.

THE PERSON:

You have a passion for modern, complex processor architecture, digital design, and verification in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/timezones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with architects, hardware engineers, and firmware engineers to understand the new features.
  • Design and develop cutting edge SRAM circuits, Memory Compilers, including Circuit design, timing and power characterization.
  • Build design and test plan documentation, accounting for interactions with other features, the hardware, the firmware, verification and the software use cases.
  • Perform simulation, modeling, and analysis to ensure compliance with performance and reliability specifications.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience in SRAM Circuit Designs and/or Memory Compiler/CMOS Circuit design.
  • Experienced SRAM Circuit Design Engineer with indepth knowledge in circuit design basics.
  • Proficiency incircuit simulation tools such as SPICE, Cadence, or equivalent EDA platforms.
  • Experienced in Advanced Technology nodes like TSMC 7nm and below.
  • Advanced knowledge in Timing and Power Characterization methodologies.
  • Strong experience across multiple technology nodes is an added advantage.
  • Fluency in RTL debug and Scripting is an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential, as the role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams located in N/A and India.
  • Excellentproblem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage complex technical challenges.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
