Job summary

The Hoxton Bengaluru City is seeking a dedicated Laundry Operator to join our dynamic housekeeping team. You will operate washing, drying and finishing equipment to deliver clean linen, guest uniforms and hotel textiles to the highest standards in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or hotel laundry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate washing, drying, ironing and finishing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Wash, dry, press and fold hotel linen, guest laundry and uniforms to high quality.
• Sort laundry by fabric type, colour and washing instructions.
• Inspect linen and garments for stains, damage or repairs before and after processing.
• Ensure guest laundry is handled with care and delivered on time.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of laundry area and equipment.
• Report equipment faults, linen shortages or maintenance issues promptly.
• Follow procedures for handling chemicals and safe operation of equipment.
• Support linen inventory and maintain stock levels as required.
• Work with Housekeeping to ensure a steady supply of clean linen.
• Follow health, safety and hygiene standards while upholding quality.

The Hoxton is opening its very first neighbourhood hotel in Asia, coming to India’s Bengaluru city centre in 2026. Job Description

What you'll do...

• Operate washing, drying, ironing and finishing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Wash, dry, press and fold hotel linen, guest laundry and Heartist uniforms to the highest quality standards.
• Sort laundry according to fabric type, colour and washing instructions to ensure proper garment care.
• Inspect linen, uniforms and guest garments for stains, damage or repairs before and after processing.
• Ensure guest laundry is handled with care and delivered accurately and on time.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area, equipment and workstations throughout your shift.
• Report any equipment faults, linen shortages or maintenance issues promptly.
• Follow hotel procedures for handling laundry chemicals and operating equipment safely.
• Support linen inventory and assist in maintaining stock levels as required.
• Work closely with the Housekeeping team to ensure a continuous supply of clean linen for guest rooms and public areas.
• Follow all health, safety and hygiene procedures while maintaining The Hoxton's quality standards.
