Job summary

The Hoxton Bengaluru City, part of Ennismore, is seeking a proactive Duty Engineer to join our on-site team. You’ll inspect sites, schedule maintenance, supervise the shift, coordinate cleaning, and ensure timely repairs across a 149-bedroom hotel in Bengaluru.

Qualifications

• Building maintenance experience required.
• Strong knowledge of building trades and maintenance procedures.
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.

Responsibilities

• Inspect sites regularly to identify problems and maintenance needs.
• Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work as per workload forecasts.
• Supervise, support and train the team during shifts.
• Coordinate daily cleaning and maintenance activities.
• Oversee all repairs and ensure timely completion of work.
• Maintain inventory and equipment and ensure proper storage.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on site.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and follow-ups on repairs.

We are looking for aDuty Engineerto join our dynamic team for The Hoxton Bengaluru City.

The Hoxton is opening its very first neighbourhood hotel in Asia, coming to India’s Bengaluru city centre in 2026. This is a major milestone for the brand as it ventures into a new continent entirely and we are now looking for a brilliant leadership team to help bring this lifestyle brand to the market.

Located in the heart of the city centre, The Hoxton, Bengaluru City will bring its undeniable brand DNA and guest experience to India’s “Silicon Valley”, a high-tech city filled with parks and gardens and known for its vibrant cafe and pub culture - very apt for a brand that was founded in London!

The hotel will feature 149 bedrooms in a variety of The Hoxton’s well-loved room categories and the lobby will have a vibrant all-day dining restaurant & bar. Job Description

What you’ll do…

• Inspect sites regularly to identify problems and necessary maintenance.
• Prepare weekly maintenance schedules & tests and allocate work as per forecasted workloads.
• Supervise, support and train the team.
• Coordinate daily cleaning and maintenance activities.
• Oversee all repairs and ensure that work is completed on time.
• Maintain all inventory and equipment and ensure proper storage.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices on site.
• Conduct preventative maintenance work.
• Conduct follow-ups on all maintenance and repair work.
• Conduct safety inspections as scheduled.
• Establish strategies to meet workload demands on time.
• Fault repair, maintenance of equipment, plumbing, furniture and lighting.
• Perform general tasks such as connecting equipment, lighting, installing locks and hinges etc.
• Accurate control of the work and your own workspace and equipment.
• Prepare order and stock takes.
• Cover Duty engineer shifts as required.
