Qualifications

• Previous Duty Manager or similar leadership role in luxury lifestyle hotels.
• Strong understanding of Front Office operations and hotel operations.
• Experience with Opera Cloud or similar Property Management Systems.
• Calm under pressure with good problem-solving and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily hotel operations during your shift to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Serve as main guest contact for requests, feedback and service recovery.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, F&B and Security.
• Own the guest journey and resolve issues before they affect guests.
• Welcome VIPs and special arrivals with personalised service.
• Perform regular walkthroughs to maintain cleanliness and brand standards.
• Support department heads in driving operational excellence.
• Handle emergencies calmly and protect guest and staff safety.
• Monitor occupancy and feedback for continuous improvement.
• Produce shift reports and handovers for good communication.

We are looking for a Duty Managerto join our dynamic team for The Hoxton Bengaluru City.

The Hoxton is opening its very first neighbourhood hotel in Asia, coming to India’s Bengaluru city centre in 2026. This is a major milestone for the brand as it ventures into a new continent entirely and we are now looking for a brilliant leadership team to help bring this lifestyle brand to the market.

Located in the heart of the city centre, The Hoxton, Bengaluru City will bring its undeniable brand DNA and guest experience to India’s “Silicon Valley”, a high-tech city filled with parks and gardens and known for its vibrant cafe and pub culture - very apt for a brand that was founded in London!

The hotel will feature 149 bedrooms in a variety of The Hoxton’s well-loved room categories and the lobby will have a vibrant all-day dining restaurant & bar. Job Description

What you’ll do…

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the hotel during your shift, ensuring everything runs smoothly and our guests have an exceptional experience from arrival to departure.
• Be the key point of contact for guests, handling requests, feedback and service recovery with confidence, empathy and personality.
• Work closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage and Security teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration across the hotel.
• Take ownership of the overall guest journey by anticipating needs and resolving operational challenges before they impact the guest experience.
• Welcome VIPs, long-stay guests and special arrivals, ensuring every interaction feels personal and memorable.
• Complete regular hotel walkarounds to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, safety and brand standards are maintained.
• Support the Heads of Department in driving operational excellence and ensuring service standards are consistently delivered.
• Handle emergency situations calmly and professionally, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of guests and team members.
• Monitor daily operations, occupancy levels and guest feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Produce comprehensive shift reports and handovers, ensuring effective communication between operational teams.
