Job summary

Tenneco is seeking a highly experienced Manager – Product Launch to lead end-to-end launch activities, coordinating cross-functional teams, PPAP readiness, program timelines, and manufacturing feasibility. • Qualifications: B.Tech or Masters degree.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate PPAP documents readiness and transparency with management.
• Team feasibility, capacity reviews and escalation to management for any gaps.
• Obtain customer requirements RFQs RFI (ICY).
• Assist in estimating new tooling requirements and costs; coordinate tool revisions in relation to product design changes.
• Obtain Smart Sheet training and manage all programs through the same.
• Review requirements with CFT; assess costs, feasibility, CAPEX involved.
• Schedule Gate reviews with global management & local CFT.
• Biweekly meeting with plant to review action items and create and maintain the tracker.
• Run manufacturing feasibility with plant, identify bottlenecks, and ensure capacity for each program.
• Make and monitor development timeline, review with CFT and share with customer.
• Review sample orders from customer, sample tracking, inspection levels.
• Ensure machine purchase and commissioning happen as per development timelines.
• Ensure RM/child parts orders are sent out per timelines.
• Responsible for Engineering Change Notice (ECN) release in EDB (Engineering Database).
• Accountable for design of tooling and gauges using AutoCAD, supporting various manufacturing processes.
• Handle modifications of tooling and gauges based on trial outcomes during sample lot production.
• Ensure implementation of changes as per ECN requirements into design and production systems.
• Lead safe launch and ramp‑up activities, ensuring smooth transition to mass production and successful production handover.
• Document lessons learned and provide feedback for continuous improvement in future projects.

This role requires close collaboration with plant teams and global stakeholders to conduct gate reviews, track action plans, and ensure timely execution of development milestones including sample builds and production signoffs. Additionally, the role focuses on driving safe launch, ramp‑up activities, and successful transition to mass production, while capturing learnings for continuous improvement. Reporting into the respective leadership, this position demands strong technical expertise, program management skills, and the ability to effectively coordinate across multiple functions.
