Responsibilities

• Process and maintain landside surcharges related to shipments and MOT.
• Accurate and timely surcharge filings in AFLS per FMC regulations.
• Identify discrepancies in filings and raise corrections.
• Support timely filings by ensuring all surcharges are captured.
• Maintain documentation and audit trails for surcharge entries.
• Respond to queries on landside surcharges and provide resolution.
• Ensure compliance with policies, tariff rules and SOPs.
• Assist in reducing duplicates and incorrect applications.
• Generate reports to support analysis and decision-making.
• Drive joint initiatives between GSC and ROM/CPM/ROP/IPM.
• Understand customer requirements and focus on outcomes.
• Maintain high quality and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Report daily performance to Process Manager.
• Be flexible to rotational shifts and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Process and maintain landside surcharges related to shipments and modes of transport (MOT), including truck, rail, and all SD movements.

• Accurate and timely execution of surcharge filings in AFLS in compliance with FMC and other government regulations.

• Identify discrepancies in surcharge filings or application and raise correction requests.

• Support timely filings by ensuring all applicable surcharges are captured correctly.

• Maintain proper documentation and audit trail for all surcharge-related entries.

• Respond to queries related to landside surcharges and provide resolution support.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, tariff rules, and SOP guidelines.

• Assist in reducing duplicate entries or incorrect surcharge applications.

• Provide ad-hoc support for operational requirements and generate reports as needed to support analysis, tracking, and decision-making.

• Drive joint initiatives between GSC and Revenue management (ROM/CPM/ROP/IPM) which should help to achieve organization goals and to build a good rapport.

• Understand Customer’s requirement and focus on customer/revenue outcome.

• High attention to quality - 100% is mandatory.

• Identify and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Timely reporting to Process Manager on day-to-day team performance and issues

• Flexible to do rotational shifts and weekends.

Shift - 12 PM-9 PM (Can be rotational basis business needs)

Required qualification, experience & skills

• Graduate in any discipline

• Good in communication, process improvement, analytics & convincing skills

• Minimum experience of 3 years in this portfolio

• Ability to work under pressure - with high sense of urgency.

• Detail oriented - ability to perform processes as per pre-defined design.

• Good presentation and Microsoft excel skills.

• Should be able to analyse / foresee challenges.

• General awareness of the practical side of Commercial processes in shipping industry

• Expert in understanding short term & Long-term business.

• Understand the E2E business along with the required pricing systems.

• Understanding of price calculations, surcharge applications, additional costs & booking requirements

• Should be able to explain clearly to all stakeholders on exceptions & also if a different approach needs to be taken for route, pricings, etc.

• Proficient in accessing AFLS modules since most of the pricing related activities happens in AFLS application.

• Understand the SPOT business/logics and contract products to handle the business more efficiently.

• Knowledge of PMA & ML.com is an advantage.

• Knowledge in Upstream and Downstream processes is preferable to collaborate things in a better way

• Should be prolific in error resolution and ability to suggest better solutions.

• Exposure of data analytics tools like SAPBI, Dataiku, Databricks, etc. is preferable.

• Should have proven experience in successfully executing Global transitions, ensuring effective Governance and seamless execution of the project.

• Adherence to timelines proposed or agreed with stakeholders.

• Partner with neighbouring processes (Upstream & Downstream)/stakeholders and obtain buy-in for complex and strategic initiatives.

• Willing to learn and adapt to new challenges.

• Should be prolific in all Microsoft packages like Excel, PowerPoint, MS word, etc.
