Job summary

Studio Create Landscape Architecture is seeking a Landscape BIM Modeler to strengthen BIM workflow, maintain Revit/CAD libraries and templates, and support the design team with landscape BIM development.

The role involves coordinating with landscape architects and technicians, implementing BIM standards, and enhancing production through automation and training. Candidates should be proficient in Revit, CAD, and Navis Works, with a focus on QA/QC and ongoing learning.

Qualifications

• Mentor staff in using BIM and BIM software.
• Develop and implement BIM standards and templates.
• Share expertise on BIM workflows and Revit/CAD libraries.
• Assist with automation of BIM routines to improve productivity.
• Provide training to staff, including one-to-one sessions.

Responsibilities

• Review project BEPs at project kick-off.
• Define Landscape BIM/Revit requirements at kickoff.
• Set up landscape projects (topography, North orientation, title blocks).
• Create sheet sets from schematic design onward.
• Model landscape elements in coordination with the design team.
• Produce BIM documentation (sections, elevations, details).
• Perform clash detection with Navis Works.
• Attend project BIM meetings with consultants.
• Audit QA/QC of Revit models and landscape drawings.

Job description

The core function of Landscape BIM Modeler is to improve the (production) workflow by implementing the latest and relevant technologies and software developments and to maintain the BIM library and templates with accurate standards to meet production requirements

The Landscape BIM Modeler will coordinate and liaise between Project Landscape Architects, Landscape Architects, and technicians across

multiple levels.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES LINKED TO OBJECTIVES

Key studio-wide tasks and responsibilities:

• Mentoring and assist with using BIM and BIM software
• Provide support to and training of staff in groups or one to one
• Develop and coordinate training strategies
• Assist with development, implementation and enforcement of BIM standards and templates
• Revit / CAD library*
• Office-wide shared parameters (specs etc.) and key notes
• Automate BIM routines to support standards and productivity
• Assess and implement relevant BIM and Revit third party software and plugins
• Interface with and present information to Management on a regular basis
• Keep abreast of industry wide initiatives, trends, software updates and best practices
• Develop, implement and promote new and existing strategies for improving production workflow

Project specific tasks and responsibilities:

• Review project BEPs at Project kick off
• Define Landscape specific BIM / Revit requirements at project kick-off
• Agree work stage involvement by project BIM teams
• Undertake Landscape project setup (topography / True & Project North / title blocks)
• Undertake sheet set up from Schematic Design onwards
• Undertake project specific Landscape modelling in coordination with Design Team
• Undertake BIM documentation work for projects including sections / Elevations /Details
• Undertake clash detection with Navis Works
• Attend Project BIM meetings with Consultant team
• Ongoing evaluation of project requirements
• Audit & QA/QC of Revit models
• Undertake QA/QC on Landscape drawings in accordance with SCLA policies;
