Juniper Green Energy is an independent renewable energy power producer and operator of solar, wind and hybrid power projects with significant experience in conceptualizing, building, and developing renewable energy assets. The company is part of the AT Group which has an asset portfolio worth of approximately US$2.5 billion with global investments in renewable energy, residential & commercial real estate, hospitality etc. The Group has been building utility scale renewable energy projects in India since 2010 and built and owned Orange Renewable, a 1GW renewable energy platform in the past.

Juniper Green Energy, based out of Delhi NCR, commenced operations in October 2018. The business has experienced rapid growth, and it presently has an operational portfolio of about 1GW with an under-construction capacity of 2 GW and a development pipeline of close to 5 GW of solar, wind and hybrid projects. The company has end-to-end internal competencies in EPC and O&M services for its renewable projects.

Job Summary:

To identify, evaluate, negotiate, and acquire land parcels required for Solar projects, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and maintaining strong relationships with landowners, government authorities, and internal stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Identify and assess potential land parcels suitable for project development.
• Conduct due diligence on land titles, ownership, encumbrances, and legal clearances.
• Liaise and negotiate with landowners, agents, and local stakeholders to finalize acquisitions.
• Facilitate and oversee documentation processes including agreements, registrations, and mutation.
• Coordinate with legal teams for title verification and resolving disputes.
• Engage with government departments for approvals, NOCs, and compliance requirements.
• Maintain detailed MIS and reports on acquisition status, costs, and timelines.
• Build and nurture relationships with local authorities, community leaders, and industry players to enable smoother acquisition processes.
• Monitor risks related to land acquisition and propose mitigation strategies.
• Ensure all acquisition activities are conducted ethically and align with company policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 8–10 years of relevant experience in land acquisition, preferably in renewable energy.
• Strong knowledge of local land laws, land record systems, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams, local authorities, and external consultants.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Willingness to travel frequently to project sites.
• Familiarity with land acquisition under private negotiations, government policies, and Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition Act.
• Experience handling large-scale projects or working across multiple states. Especially in Gujarat
• Proven track record of successful land deals and stakeholder management.
