Barsyl is seeking a Land Acquisition Expert to lead and coordinate land acquisition efforts for large infrastructure projects, with strong liaison to government authorities and BOT agencies. You will ensure compliance with relevant laws and prepare requisite documentation for clearances.
The role requires graduate-level education, preferably with an LLB, and a minimum of seven years of total experience, including railway/highway project exposure. Travel to project sites will be required.
The Land Acquisition Expert willbe responsible for leading, coordinating, and facilitating land acquisitionprocesses for large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly in theRailway/Highway sector. The role requires strong liaison skills with government authorities, BOT agencies, and stakeholders to ensure timely acquisition,compliance with legal frameworks, and smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities
· Plan, coordinate, and execute land acquisitionstrategies for railway, highway, or infrastructure projects.
· Liaise with government authorities, revenuedepartments, and local stakeholders to enable land acquisition processes.
· Ensure compliance with applicable LandAcquisition Acts, Revenue Laws, and related regulatory requirements.
· Prepare documentation, reports, and proposalsfor land acquisition and related clearances.
· Provide legal and procedural guidance on landacquisition issues, dispute resolution, and compensation frameworks.
· Monitor progress of land acquisition and flagpotential risks or bottlenecks.
· Maintain strong working relationships withproject stakeholders, BOT agencies, and state government departments.
· Support project teams in negotiations,settlements, and dispute handling related to land acquisition.
Qualification
· Graduate Degree (mandatory).
· LLB (preferable) from a recognized institute.
Experience Requirements
· Total Professional Experience: Minimum 7years of overall professional experience.
· Relevant Experience (any one of thefollowing):
At least 5 years of experience handling Railway/ Highway projects as a Liaison Manager undertaking land acquisition forconstruction/BOT agencies.
At least 3 years of experience in StateGovernment Administration / Revenue Department, enabling land acquisition forinfrastructure projects.
· In-depth knowledge of Land Acquisition Laws andRevenue Laws (mandatory).
· Strong liaison and negotiation skills withgovernment and private stakeholders.
· Good drafting, documentation, and communicationskills.
· Ability to manage complex stakeholderrelationships and resolve conflicts.
· Legal and regulatory acumen
· Problem-solving and conflict resolution
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills in local language
· Willingness to travel and work at project sitesas required.
