Qualifications

• Education in chemical engineering or mineral processing, or related field.
• Masters in Chemistry with industrial experience is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Act as Shift In-Charge for plant operators and contract labor for seamless operations.
• Monitor and adjust plant parameters based on real-time lab data to ensure consistency.
• Minimize mineral waste and energy consumption while maximizing First Time Right production batches.
• Lead investigations into production deviations or mechanical issues affecting quality.
• Supervise and test raw limestone/marble and GCC powder/slurry to ensure standards.
• Perform Goods Inspection and Certification for incoming raw materials and finished products.
• Ensure lab equipment is calibrated and data integrity is maintained.
• Maintain ISO documentation and audit readiness.
• Enforce HSE policies and implement 5S/Lean practices across lab and floor.
• Prepare daily/weekly reports on OEE, recovery rates, and quality trends.
• Manage daily dispatch activity and oversee inventory for raw minerals and consumables.

Role Summary

This is a dual-responsibility role designed for a technical expert who can oversee the Quality Control lab while actively participating in Production Management. You will ensure that the Ground Calcium Carbonate (GCC) manufacturing process is optimized, efficient, and produces material that meets exact specifications by directly linking lab results to plant adjustments.

Expanded Key Responsibilities

1. Integrated Production Management

• Shift Management: Act as the Shift In-Charge for plant operators, and contract labor to ensure seamless operations.
• Process Control: Monitor and adjust plant parameters (feed rates and grinding media levels) based on real-time lab data to ensure consistency.
• Yield Optimization: Work to minimize mineral waste and energy consumption while maximizing "First Time Right" production batches.
• Troubleshooting: Lead the investigation into production deviations or mechanical issues that impact product quality.

2. Quality Oversight & Lab Leadership

• Testing & Validation: Supervise and test the raw limestone/marble and finished GCC powder/slurry to ensure global Artemyn standards.
• Inspection: Perform comprehensive Goods Inspection and Certification for all incoming raw materials and outgoing finished products.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure lab equipment is calibrated and the team maintains high data integrity.

3. Operational Excellence & Safety

• Standards: Maintain rigorous ISO Documentation and audit readiness.
• Safety: Enforce corporate HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies and implement 5S/Lean Manufacturing practices across the lab and floor.
• Reporting: Prepare daily/weekly reports on Overall Equipment Effectiveness ($OEE$), recovery rates, and quality trends.

4. Dispatch & Inventory Management

• Logistics Coordination: Manage the daily dispatch activity, ensuring materials are loaded correctly, documented, and shipped on schedule.
• Stock Control: Oversee inventory management for raw minerals, grinding media, chemicals, and packaging materials.
• Documentation: Maintain the Daily Stock Account (DSA) with regular updates to ensure physical stock matches digital records.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech / Bsc / Diploma in Chemical Engineering or Mineral Processing is preferred. A Masters in Chemistry with strong industrial experience is also acceptable.
• Experience: 4-5 years Experience
• Technical Knowledge: * Deep understanding of Size Reduction (ball mills, vertical mills) and Air Classification.
• Proficiency in interpreting Particle Size Distribution (PSD) curves and Color Spectrophotometry.
• Experience with PLC/SCADA controlled production lines is a plus.
