Job summary

JobItUs in Mumbai, Maharashtra, is seeking a Lab Technician in Lab Operations to perform sample processing, analysis, and reporting while strictly following SOPs, quality standards, safety guidelines, and prescribed turnaround times.

The candidate should have DMLT/BMLT/MLT or equivalent and 1–5 years of diagnostic-lab experience, with knowledge of LIS, NABL guidelines, IQC/EQC, and good communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• DMLT / BMLT / MLT or equivalent qualification.
• NABL guidelines knowledge beneficial.
• IQC/EQC familiarity an advantage.
• LIS familiarity helpful.
• Good communication and teamwork needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive, label, process, and analyze patient samples.
• Perform laboratory tests as per SOPs and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure timely reporting and adherence to TAT.
• Perform IQC/EQC activities.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Monitor reagent and consumable inventory and ensure proper utilization.
• Maintain laboratory documentation and patient records.
• Follow laboratory safety, infection control, and biomedical waste management protocols.
• Report critical values and non-conformities to the concerned authority.
• Coordinate with Pathologists, clinicians, and team members.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with organizational policies.

Job Purpose

To perform laboratory investigations accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with quality standards, laboratory protocols, safety guidelines, and prescribed turnaround times (TAT).

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, label, process, and analyze patient samples.

• Perform laboratory tests as per SOPs and maintain accurate records.

• Ensure timely reporting and adherence to TAT.

• Perform Internal & External Quality Control (IQC/EQC) activities.

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.

• Monitor reagent and consumable inventory and ensure proper utilization.

• Maintain laboratory documentation and patient records.

• Follow laboratory safety, infection control, and biomedical waste management protocols.

• Report critical values and non-conformities to the concerned authority.

• Coordinate effectively with Pathologists, clinicians, and team members.

• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with organizational policies.

Qualification

• DMLT / BMLT / MLT or equivalent qualification.

Experience

• 1–5 years of experience in a Diagnostic Laboratory, Hospital Laboratory, or Pathology Laboratory.
