Job summary

SAL Education Campus in Gujarat, India invites applications for a Lab Technician to oversee the smooth operation, maintenance, safety, and day-to-day lab activities in the pharmacy laboratories.

You will prepare materials, assist faculty and students during practicals, manage stock and records, and ensure strict adherence to safety SOPs and regulatory requirements. Freshers with relevant qualifications may also be considered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratories, chemicals, reagents, instruments, glassware, and other materials for practical sessions.
• Assist faculty members during Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, and other pharmacy practicals.
• Ensure proper handling, labeling, and disposal of chemicals and laboratory materials.
• Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Maintain adequate stock of chemicals, reagents, glassware, consumables, and other laboratory supplies.
• Maintain laboratory stock registers, issue registers, equipment records, and other required documentation.
• Check laboratory equipment regularly and report defects or maintenance requirements.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, hygiene, and institutional SOPs.
• Assist in preparation of practical demonstrations and experiments.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the laboratory.
• Support internal inspections, audits, accreditation activities, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure appropriate use of PPE and follow laboratory safety protocols.
• Assist in maintaining records of chemicals and other controlled/sensitive laboratory materials as required.
• Perform any other laboratory-related duties assigned by the HOD, Principal, or authorized institute management.

Educational Qualification

Diploma / B.Pharm in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field, as applicable to institutional requirements.
