Job Description

We are looking for a qualified and detail-oriented QC Chemist to join the Quality Control team of a Pharmaceutical / Chemical Manufacturing facility in the Roorkee region.

The selected candidate will be responsible for testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process samples and finished products while ensuring compliance with approved specifications, SOPs, GMP, GLP and applicable quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform chemical and pharmaceutical quality testing of raw materials, intermediates, in-process samples and finished products.
• Carry out analysis according to approved specifications, SOPs, STPs and applicable pharmacopoeial requirements.
• Prepare reagents, standard solutions and other laboratory solutions required for routine analysis.
• Maintain laboratory worksheets, test reports, logbooks, analytical records and other QC documentation accurately.
• Perform sampling, testing, labelling and proper storage of samples as per established procedures.
• Operate laboratory instruments and equipment such as HPLC, GC, UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, Dissolution Apparatus, pH Meter and other applicable analytical instruments.
• Ensure proper documentation and timely completion of assigned laboratory testing.
• Follow GMP, GLP, SOP and laboratory safety requirements at all times.
• Identify and report abnormal results, OOS/OOT results and other quality-related observations to the concerned senior/QC manager.
• Support investigations related to OOS/OOT, deviations and laboratory incidents whenever required.
• Assist in calibration, qualification and routine maintenance of laboratory instruments.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards in the QC laboratory.
• Coordinate with QA, Production, Warehouse and other departments for quality-related activities.
• Ensure that all analytical records are complete, accurate, traceable and maintained as per company procedures.
• Participate in internal audits, inspections and other quality-system activities as required.
• Follow data-integrity requirements and maintain laboratory records in accordance with approved procedures.
• Perform other QC and laboratory-related responsibilities assigned by the reporting manager.
