Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control / Quality Lab officer with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience to join our Quality team. The candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory testing, inspecting raw materials and finished products, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring compliance with established specifications and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct testing and inspection of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products as per approved specifications.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and accurately record test results.
- Ensure all testing is carried out according to SOPs, test methods, and quality standards.
- Check and verify product quality against defined specifications.
- Maintain proper laboratory records, test reports, logbooks, and documentation.
- Identify and report quality deviations, non-conformities, and out-of-specification (OOS) results.
- Assist in investigation of quality issues and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and good housekeeping practices in the laboratory.
- Ensure laboratory equipment and instruments are properly maintained and calibrated.
- Coordinate with Production, R&D, QA, and other departments for quality-related activities.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required records and documentation.
- Follow applicable safety procedures and company quality policies.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve testing procedures and product quality.
Required Qualifications
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry, or a relevant discipline.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in Quality Control / Quality Laboratory.
- Good knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and quality control practices.
- Familiarity with SOPs, specifications, sampling, documentation, and test methods.
- Basic knowledge of GMP/GLP and quality management systems will be an advantage.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and observation skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare quality reports.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of laboratory instruments and testing techniques relevant to the industry.
- Experience in handling OOS, deviations, CAPA, and root-cause analysis.
- Knowledge of calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
