Job summary

TÜV SÜD Group in Bangalore is seeking a detail‑oriented Laboratory Technician to perform product testing of home care products, process samples, record observations, and ensure data integrity. You will follow approved SOPs, handle safety requirements, and maintain equipment logs in a NABL/ISO 17025 environment.

We expect a Master's degree in science or related field, 0–1 year of lab experience, and strong Excel/office skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in science, chemistry, paint technology, industrial chemistry or textile chemistry.
• 0 to 1 year of experience in laboratory testing, data management, and report generation.
• Experience in NABL/ISO 17025 accredited laboratory environments will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform product testing and analysis of home care products encompassing various surface cleaners like floor, kitchen and toilet cleaners as per approved SOPs, test methods, and relevant standards.
• Prepare test samples, reagents, and equipment required for laboratory activities.
• Record test observations, calculations, and results accurately.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of samples and chemicals.
• Follow laboratory safety procedures and participate in safety audits and inspections.
• Receive, register, and acknowledge samples received from customers.
• Maintain traceability of samples throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Monitor laboratory consumables inventory and coordinate replenishment requirements.
• Ensure proper storage and documentation of retained samples.
• Ensure adherence to data integrity and laboratory quality standards.
• Maintain testing records, equipment logs, calibration records, and quality documents.
• Support preparation and maintenance of audit-related documents.
• Ensure all records are updated, accurate, and readily available for review.

Your Qualifications

Additional Knowledge/ Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Good command of English (written and verbal).
• Sound knowledge of basic chemistry and laboratory practices.
• Hands-on experience in testing and analytical techniques.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and basic safety audits.
• Understanding of QMS, GLP, and ISO 17025 requirements.
