Job summary

Citi in India is seeking an Ops Sup Analyst 2 to provide day-to-day operations support within the Core Operations team. You will handle sanctions screening, data analysis, and compliance-related tasks while coordinating with relationship managers, project managers, and clients.

The role requires 2–4 years of relevant experience, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.

  • Coordinate with Citi branches globally.

The Ops Sup Analyst 2 is an intermediate level position responsible for providing operations support services, including but not limited to; record/documentation maintenance, storage & retrieval of records, account maintenance, imaging and the opening of accounts in coordination with the Operations – Core Team. Additionally, the Ops Sup Analyst 2 serves as the liaison between operations staff, relationship managers, project managers, custodians and clients. The overall objective of this role is to provide day-to-day operations support in alignment with Citi operations support infrastructure and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Level 2 Sanctions screening process.
  • Ensure transactions are processed efficiently, act as a SME (subject matter expert).
  • Execute work assigned, including annual review certification and change requests
  • Serve as liaison to business for work assignments by asking fact finding questions, following up on open items and helping with content approval
  • Conduct needs assessment and update content or develop content related solutions according to business requirements
  • Dealing with Ad-hock requests such as data analysis, preparation of reports etc.
  • Research and seek out solutions to inquiries on help content and all other open items related to business including policy gaps and changes
  • Monitor work progression ensuring completion of assignments by requested due date
  • Ensure consistent application of team process controls.
  • Drafting and editing sanctions-related reference materials; supporting the various electronic record-keeping logs for sanctions licenses, voluntary disclosures; subpoenas etc.; participating in sanctions training programs.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
  • Fulfilling the clients’ necessities while providing an exceptional client experience is the expected behaviour from all our employees and it will be measured by specific metrics.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • Ensure transactions are processed efficiently, act as a SME (subject matter expert).
  • Proactively coordinating workload within the team.
  • Dealing with Ad-hock requests such as data analysis, preparation of reports etc.
  • Participation in tests of applications scheduled outside of working hours.
  • Cooperation and daily communication with other Citi branches globally.
  • Extraction and classification of data from supplementary documentation in accordance with sanctions regulations and Citi standards.
  • Disposition of sanction matches in accordance with sanctions regulations and Citi standards
  • Taking part in regular courses, making sure that you are up to date with sanctions regulations
  • Proactive approach, raising issues with applications etc
  • Participate in compliance related activities to minimise losses
  • Assist with cash & trade operational project needs

  • Providing input on new business initiatives, new products, and advising on complex transactions.
  • Interacting with Management to raise awareness of Sanctions trends, emerging issues, remedial actions or enhancements to the programme. Assessing the impact of issues/violations (legal/regulatory, policy, reputational, etc.) and dimensions control process gaps to help management define disciplinary and corrective actions, as appropriate.
  • Overseeing adherence to procedures and processes, to ensure compliance with policies ensuring that front line units meet required standards.
  • Promoting global consistency of Sanctions ICRM practices and policies — within the line of business as well as cross-sector.
  • Update help content used by Knowledge Hub end users to service client inquires, as needed
