Job summary

Toyota Automated Logistics seeks a skilled Oracle Database Administrator to maintain high availability and performance of our critical databases. You will manage routine health checks, start/stop operations, and monitor OEM dashboards and jobs to promptly resolve issues.

The role requires hands-on RMAN backup/recovery, Data Guard and GoldenGate experience, plus strong SQL/PL/SQL and Linux skills. You will work within ITIL-aligned change control processes and contribute to storage management and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• Experience supporting Oracle Database Administration in enterprise environments.
• Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, and Linux/Unix systems.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)/Cloud Control.
• Experience with RMAN Backup & Recovery.
• Knowledge of Data Guard and GoldenGate.
• Ability to analyze alert logs, AWR, and troubleshoot issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine Oracle database health checks to ensure availability and stability.
• Start/stop Oracle databases, OEM/Cloud Control, Listeners, and monitoring agents.
• Monitor OEM dashboards, alert logs, and scheduled jobs; resolve operational issues.
• Monitor Oracle GoldenGate replication and Data Guard environments, including lag and service availability.
• Prepare periodic database health reports and dashboards.
• Monitor host server resources and storage, including ASM disk groups.
• Perform storage administration and datafile resizing as needed.
• Execute RMAN backups, archive logs, and recovery/restoration activities.
• Investigate ORA-xxxx errors; generate AWR reports and identify blocking sessions.
• Implement approved database configuration changes (SGA/PGA).
• Renew certificates and remove invalid objects from decommissioned schemas.
• Ensure changes follow procedures and SLAs.

Job description

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform routine Oracle database health checks to ensure database availability and stability.
• Start and stop Oracle databases, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)/Cloud Control, Oracle Listeners, and Oracle Monitoring Agents.
• Monitor Oracle Enterprise Manager dashboards, alert logs, and scheduled database jobs, and resolve operational issues.
• Monitor Oracle GoldenGate replication and Oracle Data Guard environments, including replication lag and service availability.
• Prepare periodic database health reports and operational dashboards.
• Monitor database host servers for CPU, memory, disk utilization, and system alerts.
• Monitor tablespace utilization and perform storage administration, including adding or resizing datafiles and managing ASM disk groups.
• Execute database cleanup activities such as compression, identifying top space consumers, and reclaiming storage through truncate or shrink operations.
• Monitor RMAN backup execution, archive log backups, and perform approved database recovery and restore activities.
• Investigate Oracle database errors (ORA-xxxx), generate AWR reports, identify blocking sessions, and support performance troubleshooting.
• Implement approved database configuration changes, including SGA/PGA parameter updates.
• Renew database-related certificates and remove invalid objects associated with decommissioned schemas.
• Ensure all activities are executed in accordance with established operational procedures, change management processes, and service level agreements.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience supporting Oracle Database Administration in enterprise environments.
• Good understanding of Oracle Database architecture and administration.
• Hands‑on experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)/Cloud Control.
• Experience with Oracle RMAN Backup & Recovery.
• Knowledge of Oracle Data Guard and Oracle GoldenGate.
• Experience with Oracle ASM (Automatic Storage Management).
• Ability to analyze Oracle alert logs, AWR reports, and troubleshoot database issues.
• Working knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Understanding of ITIL processes, incident management, and change management is preferred.
