Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned finance leader to join our Pune office as an Assistant Vice President – Finance – FP&A. In this high-impact role, you will serve as a strategic partner to the leadership team, driving the financial health and long-term growth of the organization. You will oversee the end-to-end financial planning and analysis lifecycle, translating complex data into actionable business insights. By collaborating closely with cross-functional department heads and executive stakeholders, you will ensure that financial strategies are aligned with operational goals, ultimately influencing critical decision-making processes and optimizing the company P&L performance. This position is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to shape the financial trajectory of a scaling business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes to provide the executive team with accurate financial roadmaps and resource allocation strategies.
• Drive comprehensive financial analysis and variance reporting to identify performance gaps and recommend corrective actions that protect the bottom line.
• Oversee the controllership and financial control functions to ensure rigorous compliance, risk mitigation, and integrity in all financial reporting.
• Develop sophisticated financial models to evaluate new business opportunities, capital investments, and strategic initiatives that support long-term value creation.
• Partner with business unit leaders to provide deep-dive insights into P&L drivers, enabling them to make data-backed decisions that enhance operational efficiency.
• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of management information systems (MIS) reports.

Required Skillset

• Demonstrated expertise in Financial Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting with the ability to translate high-level business strategies into concrete financial plans.
• Strong command over P&L management and Financial Control, with a proven track record of maintaining high standards of controllership in a complex organizational structure.
• Advanced proficiency in Financial Modelling and Variance Analysis, capable of simplifying complex data sets for senior leadership consumption.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams toward common financial objectives.
• A professional qualification such as CA, MBA (Finance) from a premier institute, or equivalent, reflecting a strong academic and technical foundation.
• Proven ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, demonstrating agility and a proactive approach to problem-solving within the Pune office ecosystem.
• A minimum of 8 to 16 years of progressive experience in Business Finance and FP&A roles, ideally within a high-growth or multinational corporate setting.
