Job summary

Ciel HR in Chennai is seeking an FP&A professional with working knowledge of pricing to join the Finance team of a leading global IT services and consulting firm. You will support deal pricing, build financial models, and collaborate with Sales, Delivery and Finance leaders on margins and forecasts.

This role suits someone who enjoys numbers, wants to move closer to deal strategy, and can help automate reporting using AI tools to speed and improve accuracy.

Qualifications

• 8 to 14 years FP&A experience with pricing/deal finance exposure.
• Strong skills in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis.
• Understanding of cost modeling, utilization economics, blended rates and margins.
• Advanced Excel; knowledge of Power BI or Tableau; planning tools like Hyperion/Anaplan/Adaptive is a plus.
• Clear written and spoken communication to discuss numbers with leaders.
• CA/ICWA/CFA or MBA in Finance preferred; B.Com with strong experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models for deals, covering revenue, cost, utilization, blended rates and margin.
• Support pricing of consulting and IT services deals with cost builds, price-to-win analysis and scenarios.
• Prepare and maintain rate cards and cost benchmarks by role, level and delivery location.
• Own budgeting, forecasting and monthly variance analysis for assigned units and explain movements.
• Track deal performance after closure and prepare win/loss analyses to improve pricing.
• Work with Sales, Delivery and HR to validate staffing and commercial terms.
• Prepare clear management reports and presentations for senior finance leaders.
• Look for ways to automate reporting and use AI/analytics to improve speed and accuracy.

About the Role

We are hiring an FP&A professional with working knowledge of pricing to join the Finance team of a leading global IT services and consulting firm. You will support the pricing of consulting deals, build financial models, and work with Sales, Delivery and Finance leaders on margins, forecasts and commercial decisions. This role suits someone who enjoys working with numbers and wants to move closer to deal and pricing strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models for deals, covering revenue, cost, utilization, blended rates and margin.
• Support pricing of consulting and IT services deals by preparing cost builds, price to win analysis and sensitivity scenarios.
• Prepare and maintain rate cards and cost benchmarks by role, level and delivery location (onshore, nearshore and offshore).
• Own budgeting, forecasting and monthly variance analysis for assigned business units, and explain movements in revenue, cost and margin to business leaders.
• Track deal performance after closure and prepare win and loss analysis to improve future pricing decisions.
• Work with Sales, Delivery and HR teams to validate staffing mix, cost assumptions and commercial terms.
• Prepare clear management reports and presentations for senior finance and business leaders.
• Look for ways to automate reporting and use AI and analytics tools to improve speed and accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 8 to 14 years of experience in FP&A, with exposure to pricing, deal finance or commercial finance, preferably in IT services or consulting.
• Strong skills in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis.
• Good understanding of cost modeling, utilization economics, blended rates and margin management.
• Advanced Excel skills. Knowledge of Power BI or Tableau and a planning tool such as Hyperion, Anaplan or Adaptive is an advantage.
• Clear written and spoken communication, with the confidence to discuss numbers with business leaders.
• CA, ICWA, CFA or MBA in Finance preferred. B.Com or equivalent with strong experience will also be considered.
