Job summary

Indianoil LNG invites applications for a field operator role overseeing process and utility operations along with jetty activities. You will follow SOPs, monitor instruments, collect samples and ensure safe, compliant operations.

The role requires 3–5 years post-qualification experience in hydrocarbon plant operations and a Diploma in Chemical Engineering with minimum 60% marks. Age and tenure limits apply as per notice.

Qualifications

• Full Time Diploma in Chemical Engineering with minimum 60% marks.
• Experience in hydrocarbon plant operations is preferred.
• 3–5 years post-qualification experience in plant operation.

Responsibilities

• Work as a field operator in process, utility operations & jetty operation.
• Perform all tasks safely per SOPs and instructions from Panel Operator / shift in-charge.
• Observe instruments, gauges, and meters; collect samples and deliver to lab; start/stop pumps and equipment as directed.
• Patrol the plant to ensure normal operation and absence of unusual conditions.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance including isolation, draining, steaming and related steps.
• Arrange plant isolation for day-to-day maintenance work.
• Perform daily checks and minor maintenance as per checklists.
• Take action in emergencies with Panel Operator and Lead Operator; maintain safe operation and product quality.

Role & responsibilities

• To work as a field operator in process, utility operations & jetty operation.
• Responsible for performing all tasks assigned in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with the established operating procedures and written and oral instructions from Panel Operator and shift in-charge.
• Observe local instruments, gauges, and meters to verify conformance to standard operating practice. Collect samples of various streams and delivers them to the laboratory. Start and stop pumps, compressors and other equipment based on the direction of the panel operator.
• Patrol the plant and ensures that the equipment is operating normally and that no unusual conditions exist.
• Responsible for preparing equipment for maintenance including isolation, draining, steaming and other procedures as required.
• Responsible for preparation such as plant isolation etc., for day-to-day maintenance work.
• Perform daily check and minor maintenance based on the check list etc.
• Take appropriate actions in accordance with Panel Operator and Lead Operator in case of emergency. Maintain safe and stable operation. Keep required quality of product.

Preferred candidate profile

• Candidate must have at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in plant operation in Hydrocarbon industry.
• Experience in process/Utility field operations in hydrocarbon industry (LNG/LPG/Refineries/utility operations) shall be preferred

Essential Qualification(s)

Full Time Diploma in Chemical engineering with Minimum 60% marks (or equivalent CGPA) from a reputed Institute recognized by respective State Board of Technical Education or a recognized University / Institute approved by AICTE.
