Job summary

Meril in Gujarat is seeking a Diploma Mechanical Engineer to join our manufacturing team. You will assist in production, maintenance, quality, and related activities, read drawings, monitor processes, and support optimization.

The role offers on-the-floor learning, exposure to CAD tools, and collaboration with multiple departments. Candidates should be technically curious, safety-minded, and able to work in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
• Reading and understanding mechanical drawings and specs.
• Knowledge of MS Office/Excel is a plus.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Job description

• Assist in mechanical engineering, production, manufacturing, maintenance, or quality-related activities.

• Read and understand mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

• Monitor machines, equipment, and production processes.

• Support installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical equipment.

• Perform measurements and inspections using basic measuring instruments.

• Coordinate with production, maintenance, quality, and other departments.

• Maintain daily production/maintenance records and prepare basic reports.

• Follow company safety procedures and quality standards.

• Identify machine or process problems and report them to senior engineers/supervisors.

• Assist in continuous improvement and productivity improvement activities.

Requirements
