Job summary

Gajab is building India's first AI-powered bargaining marketplace and is seeking a Junior Motion Graphic Designer who loves storytelling, animation, and design. Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of experience (internships, freelance work, and college projects count) are welcome to apply.

You'll work with senior designers, marketing, and content teams to create static and motion content that captures attention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Animation, Visual Communication or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience; internships, freelance work, or college projects welcome.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere Pro.
• Strong understanding of motion graphics principles, timing, easing, and transitions.
• Excellent typography, layout and colour theory skills.
• A strong portfolio showcasing design and motion graphic work mandatory to apply.

Responsibilities

• Create short-form motion graphics, animated banners, reels, and video content for digital platforms.
• Edit and animate videos using After Effects and Premiere Pro.
• Assist in developing storyboards and mood boards for motion and video projects.
• Apply sound syncing and basic audio editing to video outputs.
• Design creatives for social media, digital ads, websites, and marketing campaigns.
• Assist in developing visual concepts aligned with campaign briefs.
• Collaborate with the marketing and content team to understand briefs and deliver on time.
• Stay updated with design trends, tools, and animation techniques.

The Role

We're looking for a Junior Motion Graphic Designer who is passionate about visual storytelling, animation, and design. This role is ideal for a fresh graduate or someone with up to 1 year of experience internships, freelance work, and college projects all count.

You'll work closely with senior designers, marketing, and content teams to create static and motion content that stops the scroll. If you obsess over transitions, live inside Adobe Creative Suite, and have a portfolio you're proud of we'd love to see your work.

What You'll Do

Motion & Video Content

• Create short-form motion graphics, animated banners, reels, and video content for digital platforms
• Edit and animate videos using After Effects and Premiere Pro
• Assist in developing storyboards and mood boards for motion and video projects
• Apply sound syncing and basic audio editing to video outputs

Graphic Design & Creatives

• Design creatives for social media, digital ads, websites, and marketing campaigns
• Design print and digital collateral's brochures, posters, presentations, and banners
• Assist in developing visual concepts aligned with campaign briefs

Brand & Collaboration

• Ensure brand consistency across all design outputs static and motion
• Collaborate with the marketing and content team to understand briefs and deliver on time
• Support senior designers in day-to-day design and production tasks
• Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and animation techniques

What Success Looks Like in 60 Days

• Brand guidelines understood and applied consistently across all outputs
• First campaign creative set delivered on brief, on time, and with minimal revisions
• Comfortable working within the team's brief-to-delivery workflow without hand-holding

Must - Haves

• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere Pro
• Good understanding of motion graphics principles timing, easing, and transitions
• Strong sense of typography, layout, and colour theory
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines without follow-up
• High attention to detail and a genuine passion for design craft
• A strong portfolio showcasing design and motion graphic work mandatory to apply
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Animation, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or related field
• 0–2 year of experience internships, freelance, or college projects are welcome

Nice-to-Have's

• Familiarity with Figma or Canva for quick design needs
• Basic knowledge of video editing and sound syncing
• Exposure to e-commerce or D2C brand content ads, product creatives, reels
• Interest in or understanding of how design connects to marketing performance

This Role Isn't For You If

• You don't have a portfolio to share no exceptions
• You're only comfortable with static design and have no interest in motion or animation
• You need detailed briefs for every task and struggle with creative ambiguity
• You're not comfortable with feedback and fast iteration cycles
