Job summary

SD Interiors Gurgaon is seeking a creative Junior Interior Designer to join our team in Gurugram. You will work with the Senior Designer on residential, commercial, and retail projects, contributing to concept development, space planning, drawings, material selection, and 3D visualization.

The ideal candidate has a strong design sense, knowledge of materials and finishes, and a willingness to learn throughout the design process. Freshers with a strong portfolio are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience; strong portfolio encouraged for freshers.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of 3ds Max, Corona Renderer, or D5 Render is advantageous.
• Good knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture, and interior detailing.
• Strong design sense, creativity, and ability to develop functional spaces.
• Understanding of space planning, furniture layouts, and interior execution.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Designer in space planning and concept development.
• Prepare 2D drawings, furniture layouts, working drawings, and design docs.
• Develop mood boards, material palettes, color schemes, and specs.
• Support 3D visualization and presentation development.
• Coordinate with site teams, contractors, and vendors to implement design intent.
• Participate in site visits, meetings, and design reviews.
• Maintain project documentation and assist in timelines.

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Junior Interior Designer to join our team. The candidate will work closely with the Senior Designer on residential, commercial, and retail interior design projects, contributing to concept development, space planning, technical drawings, material selection, 3D visualization, and project execution.

The ideal candidate should have a strong design sense, a creative approach, and good knowledge of materials, finishes, and furniture, along with an eye for detail and a willingness to learn throughout the design process.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Designer in space planning, concept development, and interior design presentations.
• Prepare 2D technical drawings, furniture layouts, working drawings, and detailed design documentation.
• Develop mood boards, material palettes, colour schemes, and furniture and fixture specifications.
• Assist in designing innovative interior spaces, including residential, office, and retail environments.
• Support 3D visualization and presentation development to communicate design concepts effectively.
• Research design trends, materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and innovative space-planning solutions.
• Assist with furniture and joinery detailing, material selection, and cost-effective design solutions.
• Coordinate with site teams, contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure design intent is implemented correctly.
• Participate in site measurements, site visits, project meetings, and design reviews.
• Support quality checks and ensure that design drawings, specifications, and site execution are aligned.
• Maintain project documentation and assist in managing design deliverables and timelines.

Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• 03 years of relevant experience; freshers with a strong portfolio are encouraged to apply.
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in *AutoCAD*.
• Knowledge of *3ds Max, Corona Renderer, or D5 Render* will be an advantage.
