Job summary

Flextronics - The Flex Company in Chennai is seeking a Junior Financial Analyst - Cost Accounting Solutions to support cost accounting activities and collaborate with operations. The role involves handling month-end postings, SOP maintenance, and contributing to process improvements.

Ideal candidates have finance education (B.Com/BBA/M.Com/MBA), fresh to 2 years of experience, and strong MS Office and English communication. It is a great entry path into a global manufacturing finance environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform all cost accounting activities defined.
• Understand corporate policy and follow-up of key cost accounting metrics.
• Implement time-saving/cost-reducing initiatives through Kaizens & process improvements.
• Collaborate with operations team and track reasons for metric non-conformances with regular follow-ups.
• Post month-end journal entries related to accruals and reclass in ERP.
• Prepare & maintain SOPs and document in DMS; learn & serve as backup for cost accountant.

What a typical day looks like

• Perform all cost accounting activities that are defined
• Understand the corporate policy and follow-up of key cost accounting metrics
• Implement time saving/cost reducing initiatives through pocket kaizens & process improvements
• Work along with operations team & track reasons for metric non-conformances through regular follow ups
• Posting month end journal entries related to accruals and reclass in ERP
• Prepare & maintain SOP in line with the latest process and document them in DMS
• To learn & serve as a backup for cost accountant

Here is some of what you’ll need (required)
