Job summary

The ideal candidate has sound tooling knowledge and GD&T proficiency, with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and 2+ years in manufacturing or engineering, preferably with tooling exposure.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of manufacturing/engineering experience with exposure to tooling.
• Basic understanding of CAD software such as AutoCAD or UNGX.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and development of new tools, jigs, and fixtures from engineering specs and production needs.
• Support modification/improvement of existing tooling to boost efficiency and quality.
• Conduct basic analysis of tool/fixture performance to identify optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and manufacturing teams to understand tooling needs and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of tool designs, specifications, and maintenance records.
• Participate in inspection and quality control of manufactured tools and fixtures.

Job Description Summary

Typically, responsible for supporting production and engineering by developing and sustaining tools, fixtures, and manufacturing aids that improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost. The role often includes fixture maintenance troubleshooting shop-floor issues, good knowledge of GD&T, coordinating with manufacturing/quality/operations, managing tool delivery and ensuring equipment meets process and product requirement

Our Multi-modal Manufacturing Facility (MMF) in Pune plays a crucial role in manufacturing key aerospace components, supporting not only India’s defense and commercial sectors but also global aviation supply chains. Our relationships with Indian suppliers, combined with our world-class local facilities and global reach, continue to shape India’s aerospace ecosystem.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of new tools, jigs, and fixtures based on engineering specifications and production requirements.
• Support the modification and improvement of existing tools and fixtures to enhance efficiency and product quality.
• Conduct basic analysis of tool and fixture performance, identifying areas for optimization.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and manufacturing teams to understand tooling needs and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of tool designs, specifications, and maintenance records.
• Participate in the inspection and quality control of manufactured tools and fixtures.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards within the manufacturing facility.
• Assist in the procurement and inventory management of tooling components.

The Ideal Candidate

Candidate having sound knowledge in Tool & fixtures with good knowledge of GD&T

Required Qualification

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, preferably with exposure to tooling.
• Basic understanding of CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD,UNGX).

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, and assembly.
• Familiarity with various types of tools, jigs, and fixtures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
