Job summary

GE Aerospace in Pune seeks a Junior Engineer – Testing to be the primary interface between manufacturing, Lean, and quality for developing manufacturing test processes, including electrical testing and troubleshooting of power products.

The role involves setting up test hardware and software, training technicians, driving continuous improvement, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to plan schedules and allocate resources.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• 2+ years of hands-on testing experience in power cabinets, control panels, converters, inverters, DCS, switch gears.

Responsibilities

• Thorough testing and troubleshooting of power products.
• Maintain zero DPU and zero EHS incidents; keep 5S+ in testing area.
• Improve testing procedures and test stands.
• Justify and procure test hardware and capital expenditures for production test.
• Setup and deploy test hardware, software, stations in production.
• Train new test technicians and coach testing teams.
• Plan test development schedules and allocate resources with cross-functional teams.
• Lead and drive continuous improvement projects.
• Other duties as required.

Job Description Summary

Junior engineer testing will be the primary interface between manufacturing, Lean, & quality for all manufacturing test process development, conducting Electrical Testing and trouble shooting.

Our Multi-modal Manufacturing Facility (MMF) in Pune plays a crucial role in manufacturing key aerospace components, supporting not only India's defence and commercial sectors but also global aviation supply chains. Roles & Responsibility

• Thorough testing & troubleshooting of power products.
• Responsible for achieving zero DPU, zero EHS incidents & maintaining 5S+ in testing area.
• Improvement of testing procedure and test stand.
• Justify and procures test hardware and other capital expenditures needed for production test
• Setup and deploys test hardware, software, stations, etc. in production
• Train new test technicians in the use of test equipment, test process and coach the testing team
• Work with cross-functional teams to plan test development schedules and allocate resources
• Lead and drive continuous improvement projects
• Other duties as required

The Ideal Candidate

Experience in testing of rectifiers, inverters and switch gears.Hands on experience in testing of exciter and starter will be added advantage

Required Qualification

Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Minimum of 2+ years related working experience in testing Power cabinets, control panels, converters, inverters, DCS, switch gears etc.

Preferred Qualifications

Control & power cabinet testing,problem solving and pcba level trouble shooting
