The Junior Engineer – Quality & Innovation will support the Quality Assurance (QA) team in maintaining high construction standards by conducting inspections, assisting with testing, and ensuring compliance with quality protocols. This role provides exposure to QA systems, non-conformance management, and continuous improvement processes, while promoting a strong culture of quality at project sites.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance Support

• Assist in the implementation of QA procedures and quality plans under the guidance of senior quality personnel.
• Conduct inspections of construction activities and materials to ensure adherence to specified standards.
• Help monitor day-to-day quality practices across various project sites.

Standards and Compliance

• Understand and apply relevant IS codes, industry standards, and company quality guidelines.
• Support compliance activities and ensure proper execution of approved construction methods.
• Assist in verifying that construction outputs align with statutory requirements.

Testing and Inspections

• Participate in periodic site inspections at different construction stages.
• Support coordination of material testing and document test results.
• Report deviations from quality benchmarks and escalate to the senior QA team.

Non-Conformance (NC) Management

• Record and report Non-Conformance (NC) incidents observed during inspections.
• Assist in identifying root causes and follow-up actions related to NCs.
• Monitor and track the resolution of NCs in collaboration with site teams.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of inspection reports, material test certificates, and NC logs.
• Assist in preparing weekly or monthly quality reports and dashboards for management.
• Ensure timely and organized filing of all QA/QC documentation.
• Support initiatives to improve construction quality and process efficiency.
• Provide suggestions and feedback to enhance existing quality practices.
• Stay informed about updates in construction quality standards and participate in training programs.
• Work closely with site engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with quality norms.
• Participate in team discussions to resolve quality issues and share learnings.
• Foster a positive and proactive quality culture across departments.
