Job summary

Flextronics - The Flex Company in Chennai is seeking a Junior Engineer - Quality to support supplier quality programs and work on continuous improvement initiatives.

You will conduct supplier validation audits, drive APQP/PPAP, perform root cause analysis, and promote lean methodologies while ensuring conformity with global quality standards. Night shift role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of strong knowledge of Quality.
• B.E/B.Tech in E&TC, EEE or Mech required.
• Experience with APQP, PPAP and FMEA is essential.
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge required.
• Familiarity with TS16949, ISO45001/OHSAS18001 and ISO14001 standards expected.

Responsibilities

• Carry out supplier validation audits and supplier APQP/PPAP activities.
• Lead supplier approval by assessing capabilities and HSE risks.
• Support new product launches ensuring supplier quality meets standards.
• Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier issues.
• Visit suppliers on-site to verify corrective actions and process improvements.
• Review supplier processes and collaborate on improvements and value enhancements.
• Promote Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke, MSA, PFMEA in projects.
• Escalate unresolved supplier quality issues and monitor performance.
• Assist in internal/external audits readiness and cost recovery efforts.
• Undertake special projects as required.
