Job summary

THE Instinct is seeking a hands-on Electrical Maintenance professional in India to support maintenance, testing, and documentation of electrical systems. You will assist in repairs of panels and equipment, troubleshoot faults in lighting and power distribution, and help with preventive maintenance.

Job description

1. Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Assist in the maintenance, repair, and inspection of electrical systems, panels, and equipment.
• Identify and troubleshoot electrical faults in lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.

2. Installation & Commissioning

• Help in installing electrical wiring, conduits, switchboards, and fixtures.
• Support the commissioning of new electrical systems and equipment.
• Ensure installations comply with safety and electrical codes (e.g., IS standards).

3. Monitoring & Documentation

• Monitor daily electrical load and energy consumption.
• Maintain logbooks, test reports, and maintenance records.
• Assist in preparing maintenance reports and technical documentation.

4. Safety & Compliance

• Follow all electrical safety standards and company procedures.
• Report any unsafe conditions or potential hazards.
• Support in conducting regular safety audits and tool box meetings.

5. Coordination & Support

• Coordinate with senior engineers, contractors, and other maintenance teams.
• Support operations in minimizing electrical breakdowns and downtime.
• Provide technical assistance during project execution.

6. Testing & Quality Control

• Assist in testing electrical components, cables, and circuits.
• Use testing tools such as multimeters, megger, and clamp meters.
• Ensure the quality of materials and workmanship meets specifications.

7. Energy Management

• Assist in monitoring and improving energy efficiency.
• Suggest ways to reduce power wastage and operational costs.

8. Other Duties

• Participate in training sessions to enhance technical skills.
• Handle assigned tasks as directed by the Electrical Engineer or Maintenance Head.
