PTC India is seeking a Junior Engineer on a contractual basis for Kandla, Gujarat. The role focuses on operation and maintenance of substations and associated electrical systems, with emphasis on safety, documentation, and coordination with utilities and service providers.

The candidate should have BE (Electrical) with 2 years experience or Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 4 years experience, and will supervise field staff while ensuring timely fault resolution and reporting.

Qualificações

Responsabilidades

• Substation Operation & Maintenance: Monitor and supervise 66/11 kV substations, switchyard equipment, transformers, GIS panels, RMUs and related systems.
• Preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance planning and execution to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
• Fault analysis, troubleshooting and restoration of HT/LT electrical systems, underground cables and overhead transmission lines.
• Ensure safety compliance with standards, permits, line clearances and PPE requirements.
• Monitor load, voltage, equipment health, relay performance and substation parameters.
• Maintain maintenance registers, logbooks, equipment history sheets, testing records and inspection reports.
• Supervise electricians, operators and field staff engaged in operation and maintenance.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for attending faults and consumer complaints within timelines.
• Liaise with DPA officials, utilities, contractors and service providers for maintenance, shutdowns and operations.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports on equipment status and system performance.

Role & responsibilities

1) Substation Operation & Maintenance: Monitor and supervise operation and maintenance activities of 66/11 kV substations, switchyard equipment, transformers, GIS panels, RMUs and associated electrical systems.

2) Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance: Plan, coordinate and execute preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance activities to ensure uninterrupted power supply.

3) Fault Analysis & Restoration: Assist in fault identification, troubleshooting and restoration of HT/LT electrical systems, underground cables and overhead transmission lines.

4) Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards, work permit procedures, line clearances and PPE requirements.

5) System Monitoring: Monitor load, voltage, equipment health, relay performance and substation operational parameters.

6) Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain maintenance registers, logbooks, equipment history sheets, testing records and inspection reports.

7) Team Supervision: Supervise electricians, operators and field staff engaged in operation and maintenance activities.

8) Consumer Complaint Resolution: Coordinate with maintenance teams for attending electrical faults and consumer complaints within prescribed timelines.

9) Coordination: Liaise with DPA officials, utilities, contractors and service providers for maintenance, shutdowns and operational activities.

10) Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports on equipment status, power interruptions, maintenance activities and system performance.
