Job summary

Diya Fertility Centre in Hyderabad is seeking a dedicated embryology technician with a Master of Science in Clinical Embryology to support day-to-day ART laboratory operations.

You will assist in semen analysis, embryo assessment, vitrification, and embryo transfer procedures under supervision, while maintaining strict quality-control records. Fresh graduates or those with 0–2 years of experience are welcome; training and career growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. in Clinical Embryology.
• Freshers or candidates with 0–2 years of experience in clinical embryology/ART laboratory may apply.
• Hands-on training or internship experience in IVF/ART laboratory will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day operations of the embryology laboratory and ensure smooth functioning of all laboratory procedures.
• Perform and assist in ART laboratory procedures as per protocols under supervision.
• Handle and process semen samples for IUI/IVF, including analysis, washing and preparation.
• Assist senior embryologists in ART procedures as per protocols.
• Perform embryo assessment and grading at developmental stages and maintain embryo records.
• Assist in embryo freezing, vitrification, warming/thawing and related procedures.
• Maintain and monitor laboratory equipment, incubators and cryostorage systems daily.
• Maintain temperature, gas, environmental monitoring and quality-control records per SOPs.
• Ensure proper handling, labeling and traceability of gametes and embryos at all stages.
• Maintain records of patient samples, procedures, embryo development, cryopreservation and inventory.
• Follow SOPs, safety protocols, infection-control practices and quality-management protocols.
• Report equipment malfunctions or incidents to senior embryologist/management.
• Maintain stocks of media, disposables and inform inventory requirements.
• Assist in keeping the embryology lab clean, sterile and organized.
• Participate in internal quality-control activities, audits and maintenance of equipment.
• Work with embryologists, gynecologists and other healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care.
• Continuously upgrade knowledge and technical skills in clinical embryology and ART.

• To perform and assist in ART laboratory procedures, as per laboratory protocols and under appropriate supervision.
• To handle and process semen samples for IUI/IVF procedures, including semen analysis, washing and preparation as required.
• To assist senior embryologists in all the ART procedures as per laboratory protocols.
• To perform embryo assessment and grading at appropriate developmental stages and maintain accurate embryo records.
• To assist in embryo freezing, vitrification, warming/thawing and embryo transfer-related laboratory procedures under supervision.
• To maintain and monitor laboratory equipment, incubators, cryostorage systems and other laboratory instruments on a daily basis.
• To maintain temperature, gas, environmental monitoring and other laboratory quality-control records as per SOPs.
• To ensure proper handling, identification, labelling and traceability of gametes and embryos at all stages of the ART process.
• To maintain accurate records of patient samples, procedures, embryo development, cryopreservation and inventory as per clinic and regulatory requirements.
• To strictly follow laboratory SOPs, safety procedures, infection-control practices and quality-management protocols.
• To report any equipment malfunction, environmental variation, sample-related issue or laboratory incident immediately to the senior embryologist/management.
• To maintain adequate stocks of media, disposables and laboratory consumables and inform the concerned person regarding inventory requirements.
• To assist in maintaining cleanliness, sterility and organization of the embryology laboratory at all times.
• To participate in internal quality-control activities, audits, calibration and preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• To work closely with embryologists, gynecologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• To continuously upgrade knowledge and technical skills in the field of clinical embryology and assisted reproductive technology.
• The individual should demonstrate good communication skills, attention to detail, responsibility, confidentiality, professional ethics and willingness to learn.

• Freshers or candidates with 02 years of experience in clinical embryology/ART laboratory may apply.
