Job summary

Rockwool Group in India seeks an Electrical Technician with a B license to support testing, commissioning and operation of a 33 kV switchyard and switchgear. The role involves safety compliance, wiring installation, and routine maintenance across the substation infrastructure.

You will also read wiring diagrams, troubleshoot PLC and VFD systems, maintain LT/HT panels, breakers, and distribution networks while keeping accurate records. Strong teamwork and adherence to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical is required.
• B License holder preferred to operate 33 kV equipment.
• Strong maintenance and troubleshooting skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety rules and regulations.
• Install electrical components and wiring.
• Test and troubleshoot PLC & VFD systems.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams.
• Operate and maintain substation receiving yard and transformers.
• Maintain distribution networks, LT and HT panels, breakers (SF6, VCB, ACB).
• Maintain records of operation and maintenance.
• Work in testing/commissioning of switchyard and switchgear.

Role Summary

Requirement of Electrical technician with B license to be involved in testing, commissioning & operation of 33 KV switchyard and switchgear equipment's.

Key responsibilities and activities include, but is not limited to:

• Compliance of safety rules and regulations.
• Installation of electrical components and wiring.
• Testing and troubleshooting of electrical components, PLC & VFD.
• Reading & Interpretation wiring diagram.
• Operation and Maintenance of Receiving yard/Substation.
• Operation & Maintenance of distribution transformers.
• Operation &Maintenance of breakers- SF6, VCB & ACB.
• Operation & Maintenance of Lighting arrestors, isolators, CT, PT's.
• Operation & Maintenance of LT, HT Panel.
• Operation & Maintenance of distribution networks- DB's, cables, busducts.
• Operation & Maintenance of DG.
• Adherence to Preventive, corrective & Breakdown maintenance.
• Maintaining proper records of operation and maintenance.
• Experienced / Interested to work in testing/ commissioning of switch yard & switchgear.
