Job summary

ROCKWOOL International A/S in India seeks an Electrical technician with a B license to participate in testing, commissioning and operation of a 33 KV switchyard and switchgear equipment. The role requires installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems within receiving yards, substations and transformers.

Qualifications include a Diploma in Electrical, with 0–3 years of experience and fluency in English and Tamil.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical is required.
• Experience with testing/commissioning of switchyard equipment is desired.
• Knowledge of 33 kV switchyard operations and electrical maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
• Install electrical components and wiring as required.
• Test and troubleshoot electrical components, PLC and VFD.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams accurately.
• Operate and maintain receiving yard/substation and distribution transformers.
• Operate and maintain breakers (SF6, VCB, ACB), lighting arrestors, isolators, CT, PTs.
• Operate LT/HT panels and distribution networks; maintain DG.
• Maintain proper operation records and routine preventive/corrective maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Operation & Maintenance of distribution transformers.

• Operation & Maintenance of distribution networks- DB’s, cables, busducts.

• Adherence to Preventive, corrective & Breakdown maintenance.
• Maintaining proper records of operation and maintenance.
• Experienced / Interested to work in testing/ commissioning of switch yard & switchgear.
