Job summary

Hindalco Industries in Dahej, Gujarat seeks an Electrical Maintenance Technician to oversee shift maintenance of smelter operations. You will support shutdown activities, coordinate line clearances, and monitor electrical parameters, ensuring prompt action on faults in VFDs, switchgear, and transformers.

The role requires a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and hands-on experience with high-voltage equipment, safety rules, and EOT crane maintenance.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering from Govt Polytechnic college.
• Experience in maintenance of 3 KV, 3.3 KV and 11 KV motors and related switch gears, protection systems.
• Experience in 220 kV switchyard maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Electrical shift maintenance of smelter operations.
• Support in coordination, shutdown works and operation assistance.
• Coordinate with CPP/MRS for line clearance and shutdowns.
• Monitor electrical equipment parameters and take corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot control circuits of VCBs, SF6 CBs, VFDS, etc.
• Maintain EOT crane, furnace transformer and rectifier transformer.

Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

• 1. To take responsibility for Electrical shift maintenance of smelter operations.
• 2. Supporting AH in Coordination operation assistance, Shutdown Works.
• 3. To coordinate with CPP/MRS for Line clearance, shutdown etc.
• 4. To Monitor parameters of all the electrical equipment in smelter/refinery and take necessary actions as per requirement.
• 5. Trouble shooting of Control circuit problems of VCBs, SF6 CBs, VFds etc.
• 6. Maintenance of EOT crane, furnace transformer and rectifier transformer.

Requisite for the Job-

• a) Experience in maintenance of 3 KV, 3.3 KV and 11 KV motors and related switch gears, protection systems.
• b) Distribution transformers and LV Distribution systems Maintenance.
• c) Variable frequency drives maintenance.
• d) Experience in 220 kV Switch yard maintenance.
• e) Electrical safety rules and regulations.

Qualification Required - Diploma in Electrical Engineering from Govt Polytechnic college.
