Job summary

Akku in Chennai is seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer for onsite, full-time placement with ASAP joining. The role focuses on supporting CI/CD pipelines, cloud and on-prem infrastructure, deployment across environments, and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.

Ideal candidates will have Linux admin basics, hands-on CI/CD tools experience, AWS familiarity, scripting (Bash/Python), Git, monitoring tools, and basic IaC exposure (Terraform/Ansible).

Qualifications

• Experience as DevOps or similar role.
• Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines and cloud infra.
• Familiarity with Linux systems administration.

Responsibilities

• Support the setup, maintenance, and monitoring of CI/CD pipelines.
• Assist in managing cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) and on-prem environments.
• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot applications across dev, staging, and production environments.
• Work with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Automate routine operational tasks using scripting.
• Monitor system performance, logs, and alerts, and help resolve incidents.
• Collaborate closely with Development, QA, and Security teams.

Role: Junior DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the setup, maintenance, and monitoring of CI/CD pipelines
• Assist in managing cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) and on-prem environments
• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot applications across dev, staging, and production environments
• Work with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Automate routine operational tasks using scripting
• Monitor system performance, logs, and alerts, and help resolve incidents
• Collaborate closely with Development, QA, and Security teams

Required Skills:

• Good understanding of Linux systems administration
• Hands-on exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar)
• Working knowledge of Docker; basic familiarity with Kubernetes
• Experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS preferred)
• Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Shell
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
• Basic understanding of networking, security best practices, and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar)
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible) is a plus
