Job summary

Rhea Healthcare in Indore seeks a physician to coordinate patient care from admission through discharge, inform consultants promptly, and develop initial plans of care with documentation.

The role includes conducting history and physical exams, formulating differential diagnoses, ordering investigations and medications, performing pelvic exams and Pap smears, and handling preoperative workups and resuscitation as required.

Responsibilities

• Inform the concerned consultant as soon as the patient is admitted.
• Perform and document history and physical examination.
• Formulate differential diagnosis.
• Develop and document initial plan of care.
• Basic plan of care and check list as per labor room PROTOCOL book.
• Modify daily plan of care.
• Write daily progress notes.
• Obtain and document informed consent.
• Perform preoperative work up.
• Order appropriate investigations.
• Interpret hemodynamic parameters in critically ill patients.
• Interpret laboratory radiology results.
• Order transfusions of blood and blood products.
• Order appropriate medication and other orders.
• Prepare an appropriate discharge summary and explain the orders on discharge to the patient.
• Write the duty report in duty register and take written handover and takeover.
• Fill the insurance form to be signed by the concerned consultant.
• Perform pelvic examination and Pap smear.
• Perform cardio-pulmonary resuscitation.
• Order, adjust artificial feeding modalities.
• Perform nasogastric intubation.
• Insert urethral catheter.
