A R Krishnan & Associates is seeking an Audit Assistant (Chennai, onsite) to support the audit team with internal, statutory, and concurrent audits for various clients. Fresh graduates in commerce or related fields are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• B.Com, M.Com or BBA degree.
• Freshers welcome; prior audit exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out internal, statutory, and concurrent audit procedures at client locations and at the office.
• Perform vouching, verification of transactions, and scrutiny of ledgers and supporting documents.
• Prepare and maintain audit working papers, schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Verify compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.
• Check TDS, GST, and other statutory deductions/returns for accuracy and timely compliance.
• Identify discrepancies, control weaknesses, and report observations to seniors.
• Assist in finalisation of accounts and preparation of financial statements.
• Coordinate with client accounts teams to obtain data and resolve queries.

Role Overview

The Junior Audit Assistant will be part of our Audit Team carrying out internal, statutory, and concurrent audits for various clients. Good accounting knowledge must.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out internal, statutory, and concurrent audit procedures at client locations and at the office
• Perform vouching, verification of transactions, and scrutiny of ledgers and supporting documents
• Prepare and maintain audit working papers, schedules, and supporting documentation
• Verify compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements
• Check TDS, GST, and other statutory deductions/returns for accuracy and timely compliance
• Identify discrepancies, control weaknesses, and report observations to seniors

Qualification

Experience
