Job summary

Magna is seeking a Junior Analyst System Administration, SAP Basis Technical to join our global ISOL team. You will manage and support SAP and B2B system landscape, collaborate with the Industrial Solution Team, and ensure secure, compliant operations across SAP environments.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of SAP experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and hands-on experience with SAP Basis, ChaRM, monitoring, and OSS support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years managing SAP systems in datacenter environments.

Job Introduction

The Junior Analyst System Administration, SAP Basis Technical will report to the Manager of System Administration SAP Bass Technical and and will be responsible for managing and supporting the company’s SAP and B2B system landscape. Within System Administration, we are responsible for software solutions, whether they are hosted by hyperscalers, SAP, or our regional hosting providers.

The Junior Analyst System Administration, SAP Basis Technical will work closely with the global ISOL (Industrial Solution) Team and the Manager to ensure the smooth operation and security of the SAP and B2B/EDI systems. This position requires a proactive approach to system management, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement to maintain optimal performance and compliance with security standards.

Additional Requirements

• Participate in global support activities and cross-regional coordination.
• Provide North American shift coverage for one month – shift wheel
• On call support (24x7) – rotation wheel
• Shift coverage is considered part of the role and does not qualify for additional compensation.
• Be a team player: Document your knowledge and share it with others, help train the less experienced colleagues in our team
• A solid foundational knowledge of IT and network engineering is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in SAP Basis Administration and Technical Operations.
• Knowledge of SAP ChaRM, monitoring, job scheduling, and OSS support processes.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently in a global support environment.
• Good communication and coordination and collaboration skills.
• Strong sense of responsibility.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and resolve technical issues.
• Experience with S/4 Hana
• Hands-on experience with the administration and management of systems within the Microsoft Azure Portal.
• Basic understanding understanding of B2B and MES Systems
• Ideally experience in performing upgrades, patches, and other maintenance activities in SAP B2B systems.
• Knowledge in Data Archiving + Data Aging

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
• Relevant IT education or studies in Computer Sciences / Business Informatics or other comparable education

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing and supporting SAP systems, with a focus on datacenter activities
