Job summary

Shades Of Web is seeking a Junior AI Engineer in Pune to help build reliable, production-grade applications that solve real problems. You will contribute to features, integrations, and automation tools, combining software engineering with AI-assisted development.

You will work with design and engineering teams from exploration to deployment, receiving code reviews and feedback to refine your work and grow as an AI practitioner.

Qualifications

• Experience writing clean, maintainable code.

• Knowledge of APIs, databases, version control, and basic software testing and deployment practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain application features and automation workflows that improve user experience and simplify business processes.
• Build prototypes to evaluate technical approaches and develop selected solutions into production-ready features.

• Use AI-assisted development tools to support coding, debugging, and testing, while ensuring the quality of the final implementation.
• Support deployments, troubleshoot application issues, and improve reliability and performance with guidance from the team.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Junior AI Engineer to help build reliable, production-grade applications that solve practical problems for clients and users. You will contribute to applications, integrations, and automation tools, combining software engineering with AI-assisted development.

You will work closely with our design and engineering teams, contributing to features from technical exploration and implementation through to testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement. The role offers hands-on involvement in how solutions are built, with opportunities to contribute ideas and refine your work through code reviews and technical feedback.

To Qualify for the Role, You Should Have

• Strong logical reasoning and programming fundamentals, with the ability to write, understand, and debug code in at least one programming language.
• Hands-on experience developing or contributing to production-grade applications that address real user or business needs.
• Practical experience using AI tools to build, debug, or improve software.
• Familiarity with APIs, databases, version control, and basic software testing and deployment practices.
• A resourceful approach to investigating technical problems, working with documentation, and testing possible solutions.
• Ability to explain your code and technical decisions, including work developed with AI assistance.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, attention to detail, and care for the end-user experience.
