Job summary

NewSpace Research and Technologies is seeking an AI Agent Engineer to design, build, and optimize intelligent AI agents capable of reasoning, retrieving information, and invoking tools. • Optimize prompts, agent context, and system instructions for reliability, accuracy, and cost.
• Develop and maintain agent memory strategies, context management, and conversation state.
• Build and maintain projects using Claude Code for AI-assisted software development.
• Integrate AI agents with external APIs, enterprise tools, databases, and internal services.
• Evaluate, benchmark, and improve agent performance using appropriate metrics.

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic AI Agent Engineer to join our Engineering team. You will design, build, and optimize intelligent AI agents capable of reasoning, retrieving information, invoking tools, collaborating with humans, and automating complex workflows.

You will work with modern LLMs and agentic frameworks to develop production-grade AI systems that solve real-world engineering problems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI agents using modern LLMs and agentic AI frameworks.
• Build agents with capabilities such as:
  • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
  • Tool calling
  • Human-in-the-loop workflows
  • Multi-step reasoning
  • Memory management
  • MCP Servers integration
• Optimize prompts, agent context, and system instructions for reliability, accuracy, and cost.
• Develop and maintain agent memory strategies, context management, and conversation state.
• Build and maintain projects using Claude Code for AI-assisted software development.
• Integrate AI agents with external APIs, enterprise tools, databases, and internal services.

Must Have

• 0-3 years of experience in AI Engineering, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• Hands-on experience building AI agents using LLMs.
• Strong understanding of:
  • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)

  • Human-in-the-loop systems
  • Function calling workflows
• Experience with:
  • Prompt Engineering
  • Agent Context Tuning
  • Memory Management for AI agents
• Hands-on experience using Claude Code for building and managing AI-assisted software projects.
• Hands-on experience with Agentic AI frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, etc
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with frontend technologies such as Next.js or React.
• Experience with Node.js backend development.
• REST API development and third-party API integrations.
• Experience integrating models from Hugging Face .
• Understanding of multi-agent systems , agent communication, and agent orchestration.
• Familiarity with agent frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, OpenAI Agents SDK, or similar.
• Experience with vector databases and semantic search.
• Basic understanding of cloud deployment and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Personal projects, internships, or open-source contributions involving LLMs or AI agents.
• Passion for experimenting with emerging AI technologies and rapid prototyping.
