• Prepare TDS workings, deduct TDS and deposit payments on time.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements and MIS reports.
• Assist in the preparation of Trial Balance, P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Follow up receivables and payables; maintain aging statements.
• Assist in GST, TDS, income-tax and statutory compliance.
• Maintain audit/tax documentation and filing.

Junior Accountant Job Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting entries in Tally.
• Record sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journal entries and expenses.
• Maintain cash book, bank book, ledger accounts and party accounts.
• Perform bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation.
• Prepare and maintain GST records and supporting documents.
• Prepare and file GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and other applicable GST returns.
• Verify GST input tax credit (ITC) and reconcile it with GSTR-2B.
• Prepare TDS workings, deduct TDS and deposit TDS payments within due dates.
• Prepare and file applicable TDS returns.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements and MIS reports.
• Assist in preparation of Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Account and Balance Sheet.
• Maintain proper documentation and accounting records for audit and tax purposes.
• Follow up for receivables and payables and maintain outstanding statements.
• Assist senior accountants/CA/CS in GST, TDS, income-tax and statutory compliance.
• Ensure timely payment of GST, TDS and other statutory dues.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and assist in their correction.
• Maintain proper filing and record keeping of invoices, vouchers, challans and returns.
