Job summary

Genoa Sales Llp in Mumbai Suburban is seeking a Junior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting entries in Tally and support stock records and inventory accuracy.

You will reconcile stock movements, verify invoices, maintain documentation, and assist with routine accounting and reporting activities to ensure timely and accurate financial records.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in accounting/inventory management preferred.
• Strong MS Excel skills and basic understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Record and maintain day-to-day accounting entries in Tally.
• Enter goods return transactions (purchase and sales returns).
• Maintain stock records location-wise in Tally and monitor stock movement between locations.
• Reconcile physical stock with system records and identify discrepancies.
• Verify invoices, purchase/sales documents, and supporting records.
• Maintain documentation and filing of accounting and inventory records.
• Assist with stock reconciliation and periodic inventory verification.
• Support senior accounts with routine accounting and reporting activities.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely updating of all entries.

• Monitor stock movement between different locations and ensure accurate inventory records.

• Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting and inventory-related records.
• Assist with stock reconciliation and periodic inventory verification.
• Support the senior accounts team with routine accounting and reporting activities.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely updating of all entries.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in accounting/inventory management preferred.
• Good working knowledge of Tally/Tally Prime.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and inventory transactions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel will be an advantage.
