Job summary

Essee Containers in Chennai, Tamil Nadu seeks a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support accounts and production-recording tasks.

You will handle data entry in Excel and Tally ERP, prepare invoices, verify records, and assist with routine reconciliations with clear attention to detail.

Freshers with strong Excel and Tally knowledge may apply; 0–3 years experience preferred; full-time on-site role with standard office hours.

Qualifications

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant with experience in data entry and strong Excel skills to support our accounts and production-recording activities.

Role & responsibilities

• Enter and maintain production data accurately in Excel and Tally ERP.
• Prepare sales invoices and maintain invoice records.
• Record purchase, dispatch, and related stock entries in Excel and Tally ERP.
• Verify data accuracy and organize supporting documents.
• Assist with routine accounting records, reports, and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with the production, purchase, dispatch, and accounts teams.
• Maintain confidential financial and business information.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree or diploma in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in data entry and basic accounting work.
• Basic working knowledge of Tally ERP.
• Good command of Microsoft Excel, including data entry, formulas, formatting, and maintaining spreadsheets.
• Comfortable using computers, email, and standard office software.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time-management skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience in accounting, billing, data entry, or office administration.
• Freshers with strong Excel and Tally knowledge may also apply.
