ACCOUNTANT – KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**1. Daily Accounting Operations*** Handle day-to-day accounting activities and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately.* Record journal, purchase, sales, receipt, payment, and contra entries.* Maintain proper books of accounts.* Verify accounting entries before finalization.* Ensure transactions are posted to the correct ledger and accounting head.* Check supporting documents for every accounting transaction.* Identify incorrect, duplicate, or missing entries.* Pass correction and adjustment entries after proper verification and approval.* Keep accounting records updated on a daily basis.* Ensure accounting work is completed within the required timelines.**2. Tally / ERP Operations*** Enter and maintain accounting transactions in Tally or the company's ERP/accounting software.* Maintain company ledgers and accounting masters.* Create and update customer and vendor accounts.* Generate ledger statements and accounting reports.* Verify data entered into the accounting system.* Maintain proper accounting classifications.* Check system reports for discrepancies.* Coordinate with the concerned person for software-related accounting issues.* Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of accounting data.* Ensure accounting information is properly backed up and maintained according to company procedures.**3.
